Stormwater Pollution Action Steps
The Lake Tahoe Regional Stormwater Monitoring Program (RSWMP) formed in March of 2007, is a collaborative effort to combat stormwater pollution by:
Developing a basin-wide program with consistent, coordinated, and scientifically-defensible reporting standards for water quality.
Providing means by which jurisdictions can assess the effects of environmental improvement programs and track progress toward achieving lake clarity goals.
This program has become a strong partnership between regulatory agencies, municipal jurisdictions, and scientists who agree this program is vital to the goal of improving lake clarity.
