Fire Adapted Communities Program Manager

Tahoe RCD is seeking a Program Manager who brings substantial experience in building successful partnerships to achieve conservation goals, implementing conservation projects to address natural resource issues, and attaining funding to implement such projects. The employee occupying this position is directly responsible to and managed by the Director of Programs. This is a full-time, grant-funded position with full benefits through 2024, with the possibility of extension based on available funding. Application Deadline 5:00 pm June 3, 2022

Restoration/Forestry/Land Management Crew Members

Tahoe RCD is hiring field crews and natural resource specialists to perform natural resource management activities on public lands, owned by California Tahoe Conservancy and Tahoe RCD. This is a labor-intensive and physically demanding position, job duties include forest habitat enhancement and hazardous fuel reduction, resource protection and restoration, streambank stabilization, property inspection and maintenance, and aquatic invasive species management.

Watercraft Inspection Program: Watercraft Inspectors

Become a Watercraft Inspector in Lake Tahoe and help prevent the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species.  Whether you are environmentally focused, mechanically minded, looking to start/ develop your career, or just looking for a summer job outdoors in beautiful Lake Tahoe, we welcome you to be a part of our team.  Multiple positions available around the Lake.   

Positions open until filled.  Initial reviews will begin in February, 2022.

Tahoe RCD is looking for novice or professional photographers to donate photos to increase our library for publications, media and web. All donations are tax deductible. Photo credit will be included. Looking for photos of;

  • Landscapes—forest, lakes, meadows and streams;
  • Staff working on restoration projects, monitoring or conducting inspections
  • Flora and fauna
  • People enjoying Tahoe –at the beach, on the trails or on the water
